Position Vacant – Community Promotions/ Program Support Worker.


Full - time permanent. (75 hours per fortnight) Remuneration in accordance with SAC’s award.

An opportunity exists for a Community Promotions/ Program Support Worker who is flexible, enthusiastic, energetic and self motivated to provide support and assistance for the Women’s Health Program, Sexual Assault Support and Prevention Program and the Gladstone Communities for Children Family Nutritional Program.

You will be required to have relevant experience and/or tertiary qualifications in community development and/or social sciences stream, an understanding of issues relating to women including sexual assault, the ability and willingness to form networks, liaise with other services, widely promote the services offered, attend meetings, setup and assist with group work. The successful applicant will have excellent computer skills, drivers licence, Child Suitability Blue Card and First Aid Certificate. This is a full-time position for a 2 year period.

Celebrating Life - Beyond survival of Sexual Abuse

This program is conducted on a Wednesday over 8 weeks from 9.30 am to 11.30 am for women who have experienced sexual abuse at some time in their life commencing on the 18th April.

Journey through Grief and Loss

New Program commencing in June 2007 discussing the experience and strategies to manage with Grief and Loss.
